I collect vintage toy trains, some of which are made by A.C. Gilbert. Gilbert also made this kid's dexterity game in 1945 - the user would guide the two bombs into two holes - one marked "Nagasaki" and one marked "Hiroshima."

In case first pic won't open

was in Memphis over the weekend, having breakfast downtown, I looked out the window at this old abandoned building next door and had a flashback, it still had a fallout shelter sign on it, capacity 165, I wanted to steal that sign so bad

The school I work at was built in 1950. It has a giant tunnel underneath. The access stairways still have the fallout shelter signs.

There's a building with a fallout shelter sign across the street from my office.

Ugh, the good old days when people didn't get offended at these things. I sometimes wish I was alive then.

Nowadays something like that would spark social media outrage and protests of freaks in the streets wearing vagina hats.

I want one of these games! It will be the hit of the party the next time the company has some Jap businessmen over.

Back in 1998-99 time frame, they still had some fallout shelter signs around LSU. I remember ones inside of Middleton Library in particular. I wanted to steal one of those suckers badly.

years ago there was a minor stink at our company, a Japanese company, Sony I think, advertised in the inflight magazine that tried to get you to buy stuff, Skymall, or something like that, whatever the ad was for it had a newspaper folded up at the bottom of the pic, headline was "Japanese Attack Pearl Harbor!" and was appropriately dated

was walking around Tokyo with a guy from work and a local guy that we had some business dealings with, my friend made the comment to our Japanese friend Taka, "Taka, Tokyo is such an old city but I don't see any real old buildings or architecture, what's up with that?" Taka, rolls his eyes at me and looks at my friend, Paul, "really, Paul?" just kept walking
