I would argue that "you people" try way too hard to convince yourself that Christianity is the one truth.

Both sides hold on vehemently to their ideology. I just know that one side is gonna be VERY SURPRISED when they slip off into eternity. Its heartbreaking, but like I said before, God allows us to make our choice to believe or not. Just be prepared to deal with the eternal consequences when you are wrong.

The only reason you believe is because your parents believed. Because their parents believed and so on. Its called childhood indoctrination. That is it. Then you congregate with others who were in the same position. Then you feed off of each others emotions which helps cement the belief system. Add a little hell to the mix and its now fear that helps you stay in line. Scared to doubt. Its stuck in your psyche. That's why otherwise perfectly sane people will argue illogical non-sense like its an absolute truth that can't be denied. Even to the point of twisting and inventing to keep their point alive after it has obviously been debunked. No open minded consideration. Just immediate defense mode.

Religion is the only thing in this world that doesn't require observable proof.

This right here folks is the cause of every problem known to man, I should say the belief in this nonsense, sadly it runs very deep, even in people who don't openly admit it. It is the root of basically all the trouble their is

Awfully nice of him to set people up for failure then punish them for it. Can't wait to meet him/her/it.

You can't force belief. You can indoctrinate it at an early age, but you can't force it.

It's never been explained to me why "faith" is such a virtue. Of all the things God might care about, faith is an odd choice.

People need faith in god otherwise there is no god.

It's not like he's exactly making his presence known. I mean, there's the toast, but other than that...eesh.

Why would I want to hang out with a bunch of devout Christian nerds for eternity anyway?

Nah, you caught me. He actually showed up at our X-Mas party, pulled me to the side, opened up a book of my life, told me to straighten up, then did some sleight of hand and other magical tricks with water and wine and bread and stuff. Really cool btw. Then I laughed and told him I reject believing in him and for him to go frick himself.

You serious?

Actually man set his own self up for failure. God gave man EVERYTHING, including self-will: the greatest gift any creator can give. Man (I.e. you and me) chose to use that self will to turn our back on our creator, but he STILL made a way for mans redemption. Now, how pompous and rebellious of man to spit on that as well, deny him to the point of denying his very existence. When Jesus crossed over the sea of Galilee, he made the statement to some ppl saying "You say you believe in the existence of God? You do well. The demons and devils also believe, and tremble." So, this isn't a new idea. Satan's biggest deception he's ever pulled is convincing man he (and God) dont exist. Jesus was basically scoffing at them for being haughty over their grasp of the obvious. He said the entire universe screams of the existence of a creator.

People are absolutely blinded to the obvious by their own perceived intellect. Its an old lie that's been played over and over, yet while the humanistic philosophies change and evolve over time to try to explain one lie by conjuring up another layer of lies Christ has been Christ ever since waaaaaaay before he ever breathed life into man. And he will still be Christ waaaay after the last atheist has drawn mortal breath and used that to try to convince himself that God never existed.

The funny/sad part is you might be trolling, but people like you actually exist. As god would say, Jesus Christ.

Yes, this is a moral victory for you. I'm raising the white flag. There is no room for conversation here.

That's not god, that's reality. God doesn't exist in reality. It exists in faith. Quite the difference.
