I moved to San Diego in 2008. I had Cox from 08-12, and dealt with miserable service, constant internet/TV outages (6-8x per week, minimum 6 hours down time), and sky high bills.
I switched to AT&T (internet only) in 2012 and my internet has been down a total of 2 times in 13 years - each time no more than 5 minutes.
I had their TV service for a few years and had no issues with it, but cancelled it and went with Hulu for personal preference.
I will absolutely never use any other company for home internet other than AT&T until I die. The experience has been exceptional.

If I recall correctly, they have had contractors knock on doors. I saw people asking about it on the community page a couple years ago or so. I have fiber and no issues. Never down. Now, cell? Seems when power goes out, my internet service is non-existent cellular-wise, but those on Verizon have no issues.

AT&T, laid internet cable in my neighborhood in April. I waited until once my neighbors started switching.
Saving $35 a month and for the first time in 30+ years, I am no longer paying Cox.
Finally done with Cox.
- 15 years ago cancelled my home phone
- 9 years ago cancelled cable service
- now I've cancelled their internet service

I signed up at Sam’s a couple of years ago for a similar promotion, but I think it was only $100 or $150. Never got the credit, but I was saving $40/month dropping Xfinity (more in summer months with data overages), so I didn’t pursue it.

You have fricked yourself. I have said it on here before and I will say it again.
ATT is the worst company in the history of the world. And you are going to learn that. Probably the hard way
Sorry bud
