They should quitbtheir jobs. Just like white military members. Why are you working for a state that doesn't like you?
They should just put a hiring freeze on white applicants for several years until they are all rooted out.

the police could call for a nation-wide boycott of the NFL. The league would shite if they lost all their security.
They could do that, but there would be thousands of cops willing to cross the picket line just so they can suck the nuts of the NFL. Especially the ones who get to work in and around the stadium. They would be losing field level access, corridors where players and big timers are......Someone would cross just to be able to do that.

they should all go on strike
Unfortunately if they strike the rest of us suffer. The criminal element will not strike and with no police force they will run out of control.

really don't see the need to ever call the cops.
It's not something you generally plan ahead for.

Here you go

Lewis asks viewers, “do black lives really matter?” while reciting statistics from March 2016 on black-on-black crime rates. Nearly on the verge of tears, Lewis cited Chicago’s murder rate, saying, “In Chicago alone the murder rate has soared 72 percent in 2016 — 88 percent in the first three months of 2016 compared to the last year. I’m trying to ask the question to an organization of black lives, if they really mattered, then why not riot now?”
quote:
Barkley, never one to shy away from honesty, started, “We have to sit back and be honest with each other. The cops have made some mistakes. That don’t give us the right to riot and shoot cops. We need the cops, especially in the black community. We as black people, we’ve got to do better.” He continued, “We never get mad when black people kill each other, which that always has bothered me. It’s always bothered me.”

Their leaders ripping their gonads off and beating them with them on national TV, but hey, where else can one get such a rewarding job that pays so well?
I'm very proud of the many professional LEO's I've met over the years. Even the hardasses that wrote me a ticket. If their Unions won't rebel against the Democratic Party scolding, then the rank and file need to vote out their Unions

Soon I hope, the patience they've showed so far is incredible.
