My parent's next door neighbor is 92 and still gardening etc, he was on the beach day 3 I think.

Our family had the privilege of sitting 2 rows behind 2 WWII veterans at the Marines Officer Candidate School Graduation in Quantico, VA on Saturday. I told my son it may be the last time he would be in the presence of 2 WWII veterans.

Had the privilege of having dinner with one Saturday night - most decorated officer of the 82nd Airborne and a true American hero of the highest order. He's about to turn 100. When this guy speaks, you listen. He has an amazing presence about him.
He was at Anzio, Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Market Garden. He singlehandedly took out a German Panzer tank. He has earned a Distinguished Service Cross, 2 Silver Stars, 2 Bronze Stars, 2 Purple Hearts, and is nominated for the Medal of Honor.
