Let's just get the MPG' s out of the way.
When youre sitting still after doing 100mph you're getting better gas mileage that a vehicle still driving because he was driving slower.
Anyway, axe away and I'll do my best to help.

Took the wife's car to get an oil change. He tries to upsell me to castrol magnatec. I say no thank you, conventional oil please. He tells me that GM will now void your warranty if you use regular oil. bullshite?

There is zero maintenance to cv axle assemblies.
They are considered a maintenance replaceable item.

When you change someone's Helsinki smashrod, do you try to gouge them a little by telling them they need to change the Logan bushing even though they don't need to or do you do it honestly and change only the Helsinki smashrod?

Why does it take an act of congress to have my dealership top off my freon? All I get is excuses why I don't need it, meanwhile AC isn't cold enough and I want to try.

You must use any required fluids recommended in your warranty or equivalent. Emphasis on equivalent.
You do not however have to by law have your vehicle maintained by the dealership.

What percentage of mechanics are genuinely trying to fix what's wrong with my car rather than try to sell me services that I don't need and that you wouldn't do to your own car (as a mechanic).
Not being an a-hole, I feel like I can't trust any mechanic that I don't know personally.

Why do you lie and rip everyone off? A lot of us don't have money just like you.

There are EPA laws in effect that forbid the unrepaired addition of any known refrigerant to any system in your home or vehicle
