Your right. Skin color DOESN'T make a difference. I'm going off of MLK's content of character.

How much trouble are we in, as a nation, when all these little half-wits come of age?

Do you get annoyed with kids on their phones all day in class? What is your policy on phones?

I don’t allow phones in my class. If you take it out once I give a warning, if you take it out a second time I give you an embarrassing corrective assignment.

I made a kid once memorize the “Let it Go” song from frozen and sing it in front of the class. He was more of an awkward geeky kid, so it made it funnier. Earlier this year, I caught a guy on fantasy football during class, so I took his team and traded Tom Brady for Wil Lutz. The kid has hated me since.

I've been subbing since I lost my job. Any advice on how to not screw things up in 8 hours?

As a sub it’s hard because you haven’t had time to know the students and they haven’t gotten to know you. I always find the best thing to do is to be nice but stern. If you’re too nice to the kids, they will try to walk all over you, but if you make your classroom rules clear and are respectful, like I said earlier, the kids will respect you back.

Did any student ever call a radio station on Sunday night and dedicate a song to you like "She Blinded Me With Science?"

Honestly, because I’m considering the option.

How bad/tight is the money

Does it make it hard to raise a family?

Do you save enough to travel during summer?

Is the retirement/benefits decent?

Are the student free game immediately after graduation or is there a waiting period?

If you were to do it all over again, would you become a teacher? And why?

Worry about yourself, I've had way more opportunities in life because of being able to play a guitar and tour continents.

Art allows cognitive growth, and chaos is what inspired all of life.

Stop blowing smoke up the guy's arse.

Dude, you will be a walking target. A few of them will do everything in their power to make you miserable.

The money isn’t bad. This is my first year teaching so my salary is lower than a lot of my coworkers. However, the fact that I coach as well has increased my salary some. I’m young so I don’t have to support my own family yet, but I would imagine things would be kind of tight if I had kids. Also, I am budgeting to take a trip this summer. As far as retirement plans go, I’m not sure because I’m not planning on this being my permanent job. With regards to hooking up with students, I think that after graduation is fine, but I would wait a month or two.
