Why do police officers embellish so severely in police reports?

I understand if you take this as me trying to corner you or be a dick.

But I've been involved with and seen too much at this point in my life to believe that cops are truthful on police reports.

How many articles of clothing do you own with a 5.11 tag?

How many pairs of Merrell's do you own?

I would say be honest on reports if it doesn’t make you look good. But I’ve seen officers stretch the truth and put personal type opinions. I personally type my reports from memory than watch my cam. I’m usually pretty close

This is for fun.

Which one would you rather have as your office on wheels 80’s Ford Crown Vic, late 70’s Plymouth Fury , Chevrolet Caprice, Cadillac Gage Ranger Armored vehicle, or the Chevy impala SS?

FYI Plymouth was a tank.

Now serious question.

Do you think todays class of officers are promoted too quickly before they are ready?

Would you cite someone for installing rocket launchers in his headlights to blast left lane hogs out of the way?

Asking for a friend.

When someone is pulled over for speeding what proof is there except for your accusation that they are guilty if the crime? Especially if there is multiple vehicles together.

Anyway you can come teach a class or something for every single officer in Louisiana? Not a single one of them do that here.

If you meet a cop and he is a douchebag....you met a douchebag cop.

If most of the cops you meet are douchebags.....then the problem is that you are the douchebag.

75% yes. Some mature and learn how to lead quickly.

Maybe the have camera footage of you going a tad faster then other cars. Also helpful tip. Never answer why you think you were pulled over and or admit to a violation like speeding.

Just admit, everything you are told to do is tied to revenue generation.
