As a successful black man, what advice can you provide to a young black professional such as myself.

Specifically, should young black men focus on finding white friends and/or other demographics who have the influence to get them hired in a company.

Or should you focus on creating your own professional identity through working various jobs.

My issue with the latter is that nepotism is very hard to overcome. It's easy to say someone should just have better credentials, but in my experience goods skills are not as important as having connections

In general do you trust White or Black people more?

Focus on working hard and building a good reputation. Making friends of all kinds of beneficial. Also work on building your credit, this is something I've seen many black workers fail to do...make payments on time and smart financial decisions and run everything through a bank account I.e don't cash paychecks.

It's a crucial aspect to being able to start a business, buy nice things on credit, owning a home, etc.

1) Sterotypes of Blacks being thugs. To be fair, my experience is that most white and some latina escorts are anti-black.

2)White men tend to pay more for less "work" according to escorts I'm "associated" with.

Whites typically make the majority of their cliental and since most of them are older males they usually don't last as long (obviously nobody on the OT)

3) Racial bias of clients. Some whites are racist and would prefer their escorts not sleep with Blacks. Some escorts play the field by using the "no blacks" trick. I have "discovered" this is not necessarily true.

I found an interesting post about this topic on reddit, where an actual escort gave her perspective. She said the only times she'd been abused or had someone leave without paying, they were black men.

This post was on r/askanescort and her topic was asking if anyone else had a bad experiences with black men.
