I think it's ridiculous a consenting adult can't do what he wants in his own home as long as he's not harming another person.

He was homeless so I doubt he was in his own home.

This has been discussed, but I guess making your own thread will make to feel like you're contributing to the conversation.

I said he didn't deserve to be shot strictly because of his record.

Did they know his record before they shot him??

A pattern of criminal activity points toward a person that is likely to have done something that drew law enforcement attention. When physical activity is warranted we know it will not end well for the bad actor. A person is taking a risk when taking on LEO. They carry guns and are trained on how to shoot correctly. None of the gangsta sideways shooting shite that gets innocent bystanders killed.

Funny how I see inner city faces complaining on TV evening news about the daily problems they face when they are robbed or a loved one killed. Then they gang up and circle the wagons when LEO has to kill one of them.

Perhaps the ones that are bitching should inform those that are protesting.

Well did he shoot the cops?

Nope, thankfully never had a chance to do so.

Well he was 21, based on the crime I'd say girl was 13-17.

Sadly, this is very common and essentially accepted in that culture. Maybe not something extreme like a 13 y/o and a 22 y/o, but a 16 y/o and a 21 y/o - absolutely.

not if he's more than 3 years older.

either you've never had a 13 year old daughter or we'll just have to disagree on responsibilities placed on someone of that age.

and this coming from one who couldn't care less about all the teachers sleeping with their 16 year old students. but 13 is way too young.

I know it's prevalent today, but from personal observation, when I was a kid there girls that age slooting around already, and were very cognizant of what they were doing, and that's been a long time ago

Oh I agree that 13 year olds are way more brazen nowadays but the responsibility is on the adult. Kids are stupid. 21 year olds should be less stupid.

The other question is how in the hell was this guy not in prison? With that rap sheet any person, black/white/yellow, should be incarcerated. He has a history of violent crimes and our Sheriffs, Wardons, Judges, and elected officials are doing the community a disservice. It's sad and the system is corrupted... Sterling should have been behind bars, I know I would have with that record.

Let's all just be real honest. If he was white, more restraint would've been shown in deciding whether or not to use lethal force

Ok let's go stand in a parking lot somewhere and do something with a gun that gets the cops called on us, and when they show up lets disobey their commands no matter what they say or do, and let's see what happens.

You first.

This story makes news yet the poor white girl, who managed the Canes located in Kenner was stabbed to death by a former disgruntled black employee will barely get a 10 second clip on our local tv channel. or what about the white kid shot to death in a ditch in St. Tammany Parish by the cops..? No one is going to make that a story.

Let me tell you what I've figured out in my lifetime. If you live right you don't get in trouble. Plain and simple end of story. And yes I would be willing to be bet that 99% of those charges are legit. It doesn't matter if half of them weren't, he still has a horrible record.
