If you look at those police dash cam videos on YT where it shows when police activate their sirens/lights/brakes/gas it is more often than not an Arkansas State Trooper either pit maneuvering or spike stripping someone at excessive speeds.

Yea. And you know what? No one should be prosecuted for stealing a certain amount of merchandise. Know what else? Let’s just stop arresting people for drug use. Their choice. Know what else? You shouldn’t protect your property when someone comes to take it. You could hurt others.

Yeah anyone who has a complete disregard for innocent people (wives and children on the road) are fair game. Take them out of the gene pool.

I just wish cops had better tools to disable a vehicle (and suspects on foot), better to stop them before they are at high speed.

Decades ago (before drones), I read about using a remote control car, small enough to drive right up to/under the car they chase, and it unleashes shrapnel to flatten the tires.

Not sure why that doesn't seem to be a thing today.

I'm against high-speed chases b/c of lack of pursuit training for cops, especially in small towns.

I'd be against them using firearms if they didn't have firearms training, and a car in a pursuit is a lot more dangerous to innocent people than a gun.

A lot of departments have enacted policies against high-speed pursuit except in cases of life endangerment.

Really has to be case-by-case basis...

I do see your point.
