Argument over who to play Aretha Franklin leads to shooting in Virginia

Of all the dumb things to get shot over, this has to be one of the dumbest ones

i mean ,i'd rather look at Halle Berry. But, i think Aretha was known for singing. So...

Honestly this could have been a member of my family. They get so heated over the most trivial things if they "know" they're right . Like arguing to the death which actor played someone in a movie...

First of all, it doesn't matter because using the voice of the actress will completely ruin the fantasy that you are actually watching Aretha sing. Hudson is a great singer in her own right but no one, and I mean NO ONE, has the same kind of tone or soul that Aretha has. It is precisely why she is the best of all time. They would be much better focusing on someone who resembles Aretha and can act and have them lipsynch.

No disrespect to Aretha but Halle is a much better looking woman. It’s like saying Brad Pitt will play a role based on Gary Busey.

Hey Brad Pitt is as good as anybody. Whoever it will be will require a shitload of prosthetics and theatrical makeup.
