I'm at the point the missus will cut mine. I asked her to youtoob some video instructions. We'll see.
I recently purchased some clippers, watched a couple YouTube videos and cut it myself. It’s not the best cut I’ve had, but far from the worst either. I’ll get better over time. It’s really not that difficult or complicated to pull off a simple fade or high and tight with clippers. Just take it slow and gradual, beginning with highest guard and working down to lowest you want, not going higher than previous pass you did with the previous higher guard. I swear it’s not that difficult. The back of your head is probably the most challenging, but with double mirrors, it’s achievable with a moderate amount of coordination. With all the additional idle time we have on our hands these days, there’s no rush. Take your time. What’s the worst that can happen, you wear a hat for a weak or so?

If you are in Baton Rouge, he will meet individuals by appointment. My usual go to is Troy's but he is close second.

I'm in GA so shops will be back open on Friday. Although my barber is a man that has had his fair share of health problems over the years, so I wouldnt doubt if he continued quarantining for the time being. Great guy, and I hope he is doing ok at this time, financially and health wise. This whole pandemic thing sucks all the way around.

I think this closure is probably going to retire him
From my post on page 1. Went past his shop yesterday and there was a sign out front announcing his retirement. He didn't blame the virus restrictions or anybody, he just said it was time to put down the clippers and scissors and pick up the fishing pole. Probably the best for him, but sad for his customers. He was damn good at his craft.

I know of a couple in Maryville doing the same thing, I might just have to make the trip home because idk if this mane can last two more weeks.

The Shelby County barbershop that planned to defy Gov. Kay Ivey’s health order and reopen Friday reversed course amid concern that customers would be fined $500 if they entered its doors and the establishment could lose its business license.
Scott Farr, president and partner of Ervin Farr Inc., which owns The Male Room in Inverness, told reporters outside the barbershop Friday morning that he changed his mind after consulting with U.S. Rep Gary Palmer, R-Hoover, and Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato, who both advised him not to reopen, Farr said.
“They made it clear what the ramifications are,” he said. “It’s obvious that we’re placing our clients at the risk of fine and obviously you got the risk of infection.”
Farr said the congressman and mayor assured him they were “going to elevate this to the highest level” by meeting with Ivey on reopening small business deemed non-essential.
The Male Room only has 30 days of capital left to operate, Farr said.
“After that point, we have to make a decision,” he said, including whether to close the barbershop. “I’ve been wrestling with what is that decision is going to be.”
Farr had planned on reopening with “mitigations,” including taking customers by appointment only and offering only haircuts and neck shaves and not spa services.
Leeds resident Scott Harvey, a longtime customer of The Male Room, arrived at the barbershop hoping to get a haircut but was turned away and told he could be fined $500 for violating the health order if he entered the business.

Enraging Karen's on NextDoor by asking for a hairstylist to come to my home and give me a haircut. Minimum of 5 that say they will report whoever comes over to have their license taken away.
I don't even want a haircut, I can trim my neck and embrace the flow
Another fun time is asking if we could get a playgroup organized to celebrate my fictional 5 yo sons bday since Chuckie Cheese is closed.
frick, I gotta stop working from home and get back to the office

Daughter is a hair stylists. The entire family has been getting haircuts and dye jobs for free since the shutdown started.
My buddies have asked if she’ll cut their hair for cash. She’s reluctant to do so because she believes the board will take her license away.
