It is satisfying to work your own land. Mine is 240 acres, but only 1/2 acre cleared for a road and campsite, plus another couple acres for trails and food plots. I barely do more than I did as a hunting camp member, and all the improvements acrue to me.
Having a little refuge 2 hours from the city is good for the soul.
