I enjoy seeing Christmas thru my niece’s eyes. She’s the main reason I’m enjoying it. And I’m sick of 90 degree weather. So ready for it to cool off.

I think the holidays are a huge trigger to many with depression issues. Even for those without mental health issues. Too much expectation and high hopes. Too easy to be so easily disappointed and let down and just defeated.

I think that a lot of it is the overkill. Thanksgiving used to be the "start" of Christmas. Now, it seems like once Halloween is over, get Santa out there, dammit.

I will say this...Christmas is MUCH more tolerable since I retired from the Post Office. Being a mailman or UPS guy this time of year gets a bit trying.

The one thing that I still enjoy is Christmas light displays...but you just don't see nearly as many as you used to.

Every year it seems like I get to a point.. Around this time.. Where I am just ready for the holidays to be over with. Sometimes I wish I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was younger, but I just don't.

Totally feeling it for the first time since I was a kid. Probably BC I had my first child in July. Guess having a kid will do that to you.
