I think that a lot of it is the overkill. Thanksgiving used to be the "start" of Christmas. Now, it seems like once Halloween is over, get Santa out there, dammit.
I will say this...Christmas is MUCH more tolerable since I retired from the Post Office. Being a mailman or UPS guy this time of year gets a bit trying.
The one thing that I still enjoy is Christmas light displays...but you just don't see nearly as many as you used to.

Every year it seems like I get to a point.. Around this time.. Where I am just ready for the holidays to be over with. Sometimes I wish I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was younger, but I just don't.

Totally feeling it for the first time since I was a kid. Probably BC I had my first child in July. Guess having a kid will do that to you.

purchased a new house and trying to move before holidays.
