Like everyone else said, Sprint is awful in BR. I would cancel and get something else, but I rather not pay for my own bill.

Didn't they soft launch wimax here not too long before they abandoned it for LTE?

I know of 1 Wimax site that was live. There was probably more but I couldn't tell you where. But those few sites won't do much for b41 coverage considering it's frequency and fragile link.

Yes, I've been with spring for a decade and never had a problem. After the earthquake in Haiti my number was hacked and somehow my bill was over $5k. Sprint obviously did not charge me for these fees and credited $6500 back on my bill.

Pretty much I went over a year without paying a single monthly bill and this never came back to bit me in the arse.

To the OP, yes I like Sprint. Works well in areas such as NOLA or BR where most people have ATT. I hardly have drop calls and can use my data at events like Saints games or LSU tailgates.

Just FYI, they are upgrading the towers in Metairie. Not all of them are complete yet so LTE will be spotty in the area right now. The cell spacing in Metairie is excellent for sprint LTE so when they are done LTE should be as good as anyone in the area.

The problem is when are they going to be finished? The rollout has slowed to a crawl over the last several months so if you can't wait then switch.

With sprint?

I've been able to upload pics and such without any problems. I obviously don't use data much during the game but it has never been an issue.

I have an iPhone 5c and before that 4s

That was rumor and speculation. Sprint never said that.

But I am not defending them. The rollout in this market has been terrible and I don't blame anybody for leaving Sprint. If I wasn't on a 5 person family plan that is significantly cheaper with unlimited data I would have left already.

Just trying to let people make informed decisions with what I know. Since Sprints communication is terrible in this arena.

If you get on the right channel it is doable. I have found it hit or miss but not impossible.
