So have ever taken away someone from their date while on they are on the date. You get bonus respect if you have taken a date from someone while on a date if they were with their committed SO.

I have never seen this happen in real life. How does this even occur? What kind of lame arse date even offers the opportunity of this happening?

Eric Decker was on a date with his wife at Applebee's in Denver. I was there for work. I sent them over a plate of riblets. Let's just say that Eric didn't go home with his wife that night.

I've hooked up with a girl who was someone's date to a greek function. But they weren't really on a "date" date.

Mickey Rourke was confronted outside a London nightclub by a jilted student in the early hours of yesterday morning, after the man's model girlfriend ditched him mid-date for the veteran actor. The Sin City star, 48, left the Boujis club in the British capital's Kensington district with young beauty Anya Iniskia. Iniskia had been on a date with her boyfriend Andreas Franzi, 22, who angrily followed the pair outside where he challenged Rourke to hand Iniskia back. While being held back by the nightclub's doormen, Franzi shouted at the actor, "Hey, I want to talk to you. That's my girl you've got there. Who do you think you are, some big movie star? I could buy you ten times over." Former boxer Rourke, throwing shadow punches, responded, "Come over here, tough guy. I'll show you who I am." Rourke and Iniskia then got into a taxi and headed to the luxury Dorchester hotel, where they reportedly stayed until 1pm yesterday afternoon. Franzi, who has been living with Iniskia for five months, says, "I thought we'd be together always."

Mr. Nederlander, now 39, had a good reason for hesitating to start a relationship under the scrutiny of their housemates. At the time he was recovering from the very public implosion of his first marriage, in 1998, to Jessica Sklar. When Ms. Sklar left him shortly after their honeymoon for the higher profile Jerry Seinfeld, Mr. Nederlander, whose family owns a collection of Broadway theaters, found himself in the cross hairs of the gossip columnists.

When I was in college, I sold cars at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership over summer and winter breaks so I'd have some extra spending cash when I got back for the semester. The car business is beyond sleazy, and the following is the closest I can offer as far as what OP is asking for:

We closed out a good month, and our GM offered to take all the sales people out to drinks. We sit down at the bar, and note this super hot blonde chick sitting at a table with some dude. The guy gets up, presumably to use the restroom, and my GM gets up and b-lines it straight to her table. He takes out a business card, hands it to her, and says "honey if he doesn't treat you right then you give me a call."

To my amazement, the chick looks around (I'm guessing to see if her date/SO saw) and then she smiles and puts his card in her purse.

Sleaze. As. frick.
