Here are some numbers that might surprise you.
A Global Comparison by income
According to the Global Rich List, a website that brings awareness to worldwide income disparities, an income of $32,400 a year will allow you to make the cut.
In the United States
Of course, Americans live in the United States, contending with U.S. prices. Who constitutes the 1% if you just look at the U.S.? Not surprisingly, it takes a massively higher income to crack the top percentile of wage earners: You’d have to make $434,682 in adjusted gross income to make the cut, according to the non-partisan Tax Foundation.
And to rank amongst the highest 1% of Americans by wealth? That requires net assets of more than $7 million, based on the latest Federal Reserve figures.

Lulz at Mississippi (@ $263k to enter the Top 1%) looking down on Arkansas at $228k.
You know you are in the shite tank when Mississippi looks down on you by a wide margin.

If you factor in my earned income tax credit and my medicare benefits, I'm definitely in the 1% of the world

I wold not laugh too loud, it is likely that LA will be in the same boat as AR if crude prices stay where they are for as long as some predict.

No, I still have time though. I also don't think that extra income would change my current lifestyle. Who knows though, like I said, I still have time.

Laffy has lots of 100k folks living like 1%ers if that counts

It takes a lot of money to be a millionaire. Very little to make our look like you are a millionaire.

Is this personal or household? I make about 400k, so just outside of 1%, but if you include my wife's 35k salary, we reach it.

Everybody on the OT has a 100k in their checking account at all times and runs at least a 4.3 40.

My 40 time slows down when my third leg is engorged.
I've learned to do only one of those things at a time.

In the comments someone said it was household income.
If that's the case then my wife and I are 1%ers in AR, but a ways to go to get there in TX.
