What I meant was those numbers are not elite for someone who strength trains regularly.

What years were you active in competing? I did as well and seeing as its a smallish community I'm sure we at least know some of the same people.

Full power or a specialist?

2 things:
1) I don’t necessarily see more taller women
2) are you positing that women have increased their size based on nutrition in only one generation?

So it has this miraculous effect on women, but the men are immune to it, IF your stupid theory was legit?
Congratulations, 21st century Hollywood, feminist and the media has corrupted your brain.

just more soyboys that sip on starbucks with their man buns that enjoy instagram too much bring down the average male strength

The man bun has nothing to do with the other 3. I had one for a good while. I wanted to grow my hair out to go along with growing out my beard, and the man bun kept it out of my face when getting stuff done.

Yet I hate Starbucks, don't have an instagram, and used to be a fricking ox before I permanently tore up my shoulder. If I laid my hands on something, it moved. Actually, I can guaran-damn-tee I was stronger than your judgemental arse. Probably still am despite only having 1 good arm.

lsucoonass I trained with a guy who was at LSU around that time. I personally didn't start until 06.

Isn't it crazy seeing that much weight being benched? Most insane thing I saw in person was Phil Brewer bench 500 @164.

I workout with women every day. Even ones that put in time aren’t even close to their male counterpart

Speaking of this, my wife recently started getting really into the British crime drama Scott & Bailey.

It's a show about two female detectives, and holy shite, I've never seen so much faux woman-power crammed into one series.

The female detectives (who are basically ordinary 5'4" 120-pound women) are consistently running down men in straight-up footraces and overpowering men in fights.

And when I say "overpowering men in fights" I don't mean like they use superior martial arts training. I mean they literally overpower men with raw strength in struggles for control of a knife or something.

I've lost track at the number of times I've rolled my eyes at this show.

Yep

Unfricking real

I was never a good bench

I had the genes to deadlift, my first ever pull/deadlift workout I did 365 at a 165 bw.

My best was 610, at a 185 bw when I was 19

Nice. That is a damn strong pull!

After my fourth hamstring tear I gave up on full power and did strictly bench for a couple of years. The morning of my best bench I weighed in at 163; later that afternoon, after a lot of food, I was able to get 415 on my second lift. Pushed it to 425 to try and get the pound for pound money but failed and finished second.
