Statues of black leaders, regardless of their contributions to society are approved.

True.

But my point was, they are all just damn statues. There are no living Slaves today and there are no Confederate Soldiers alive either.

The whole thing with trying to erase history is foolish and stupid. We have seen the attempts to do so in South American and other countries and it doesn't turn out well.

Just my opinion, all of this is just going to create a bigger racial divide in this Country.

I play golf every Tuesday and Thursday in an group of eight and three of the guys are Black and one Hispanic.

We play golf, we drink beers and have lunch together. We bust balls and talk crap to each other about our games.

We don't talk about race or injustices, we talk sports and all of our aches and pains (Seniors). Bottom line is we all respect each other and are friends.

BTW, the whole group is against the riots and destruction of property.

That is going to be a bitch to pull down.

Drill a few dozen holes, stuff with C4, and turn it into a pile of driveway gravel.

I find it ironic that his statue is white. I would also but any amount of many that it wasn’t sculpted by a black person.

I'm sure MLK wasn't on board with gay marriage. By their logic, he's "problematic".

When the FBI tapes come out from being under seal later this decade there are more than a few that believe he will be crushed by the #metoo movement in today’s world. I seriously doubt it.

STFU racist

Takes one to know one I guess !

What a cop out word racist is.

Everybody is a racist if they don't agree these days and nobody wants to take responsibility for their own deeds.

I have never seen where it is written that I have to be responsible for all of the ills in the world.

People need to look in the mirror and decide that they are responsible for their own education, family units and healthcare.

Before Covid, the first five stories on the news was somebody committing a crime. Where all of the the activist and so called do gooders to stop this if we are all suppose to live in harmony ?
