Are there still married people who don't sleep in the same room as their spouse?

Is it possible to do so and have a healthy marriage?

Edit: minus snoring and sleep apnea

We've been married for 31 years. I sleep in a separate room for the last 25 because of my snoring. We have a wonderful marriage.

That sounds nice so you can jerk off without vibrating the bed

One set of my grandparents did but granny was a crabby alcoholic and grandpa didn't want to put up with her shite much in his old age.

I know a couple that does it because the wife is a light sleeper and the dude gets up for work at 4am. Seems to work for them.

I snore and neither one of us have ever liked sharing a bed, so yes, there are still people that do it. We do everything else like a "normal" couple. We just don't sleep together.

eta- missed your edit but even if I didn't snore I don't like sharing a bed.

Other than sleep apnea or snoring, why would couples do this?

Lucy and Ricky slept in different beds but at least they stayed in the same room.

Wife and I sleep apart at the moment. But she has back issues and I'm not an OT Balla and can't dish out $4000 for an adjustable bed at the moment. We've tried other beds and nothing works.

We will get there soon, but right now it's not possible. She sleeps on the couch and every once in a while she will sleep in the bed hoping she can move when she wakes up in the morning.

Our marriage is fine (as far as I know )

Guess it would mostly eliminate the awkward mornings where my kids come wake me up and I have to make them leave the room so I can find my boxers

I sleep like a log and apparently I'm an a-hole about stealing the blankets so when we do sleep together she's usually up first and in a foul mood.

The older people get, the more you find couples sleeping separate. Most people sleep lighter as life gets more stressful. Add in health issues like backs, apnea, etc, and it's more common than you might think.

Also, if it works for someone else, more power to them.

me and the wife havent slept together for years. She is like sleeping with a bucking bronco. Also, since her mother passed away, she has nightmares and talks in her sleep. Been married a long time and still have a great marriage. I know several couples who dont sleep together.
