Are the Spanish speaking people of Earth ever going to get their shite together?

It’s easy to forget this but the Spanish Empire was the undisputed ruler of the world for like 250 years. Spanish is the third most widely spoken language on earth after Mandarin Chinese and English. And yet, Spain and the Spanish speaking countries of the Americas are not really major economic, cultural, media, or military countries. Are the Spanish ever going to get it together?

I can think of another group that needs to get it together more so than the Spanish.

Brazil is a growing world power

Brazil will not get out of the 2nd world in any of our lifetimes. Look at how the 30th percentile of Brazilians live versus that of the USA or even Canada.

As a Latino, suck a dick. You are dumb as frick if you think Latin American countries and hell even Spain itself don't have unique cultures. Colombia, Mexico, Central America, Argentina, Venezuela, etc don't have culture and fine arse women.

English speaking people and Spanish speaking people seem to have a natural affinity for each other in my experience, current US- Mexico garbage excepted.

I disagree with your premise.
Spain is a stunning country.
I don’t compare it to the Western Hemisphere countries, because its European context is so different.
As for Mexicans ...
In Texas, they’re our good neighbors, and they thrive.
They work next to us, go to school with our children, vote, care about the community, play sports, volunteer, and are some of the hardest, most warn-hearted people you’ll ever know.
I don’t even think of them being “non-Texans;” they’re a vital reason why our state is so special.
Here’s an article I’ve cited many times on this board in which some of you may be interested:
Why Hispanics Thrive in Texas, But Not in California
It’s a few years old, but is as relevant today as it was five years ago—perhaps more so.

My wife is an immigrant from Honduras and is a scientist who is smarter than 99% of the population of Louisiana for sure.
Especially smarter than most of the “build the wall” fools.
