Are stores actually fully stocked when they open?

I was considering setting my alarm for an early time tomorrow and taking a chance...

The grocery store by my house was business as usually an hour ago. Shelves weren’t packed but everything was there including TP, bread and meat.

I have had no issues finding anything except toilet paper. But I found that after the third stop on my way to work. Its not as bad as some would love for you to believe.

Went to Super 1 this morning. Not fully stocked but they had most things.

Went to Nunu's for lunch. They had boudin and bourbon. Didn't check anything else.

I've gone grocery shopping (for individual things) about 4 times in the last week and a half and every time the stores have been fully stocked except for toilet paper. This is the downtown nola rouses, the uptown rouses, and the costco.

No, I went to Rouses yesterday when they opened. They were unloading trucks, so not everything was stocked but it was a hell of a lot easier than waiting for the zombies to wake up.

I’ve had more success hitting up my local fruit/vegetable markets that have butcher counters. Kroger two minutes up the road has bare meat shelves while they had plenty of ground chuck, roast, tenderloin, etc.
