Are you sure it will fit through the front door of your trailer?

If you had one as comfortable as mine..you'd give 2 shits if someone on a message board considered it trashy.

Are recliners trashy? I don't even have one, but it's your home. You're the one spending the vast majority of your time in it. Why wouldn't you buy something that you want and makes you comfortable?

Get my point?

But I'll melt and pass out in one any day.

Don't care. The room my wife calls "the cave" has a gloriously comfortable lazy chair.

Looks much nicer than that though.

You need them to accommodate the trashy practice of mounting TVs above the fireplace. Trashy is as trashy does, I reckon.

I'm sitting in one right now at this moment so therefore, it's not trashy.

It's not something we'd have in our main living room. But I'd definitely have it in a more dedicated TV/media room or if we had a second den for the family to hang out in. We had them in my house growing up until I was in high school. It seems they've really gone out of fashion as being acceptable in your living room, but that's an easy fix. Don't invite people to your house and no one will know.....people suck anyway.

Or, just stop giving any thought on what other people think of the stuff in your house. If someone stops visiting me at my house because of a recliner in it...good riddance. If you're willing to give up the most comfortable piece of furniture in your house because you're worried what people think...lol nuff said

Okay, will do. Next house will be made of concrete blocks, or maybe a metal pre-fab. Wood paneling on the inside. No dining room table, just La-A-Boy's and TV trays facing the "dinner" TV. We'll put aluminum foil in the windows to save on electricity. And I guess I can just start spraying the whole yard with roundup to save on cutting grass. I mean, who gives a shite what people would think, it would get the job done and be comfortable .

You people take this "don't care what other people think" shite to the extreme when something you like might be deemed "trashy" (however stupid that is on this board). I was even being sarcastic about it and kind of taking that side, saying that worst case you can just not care what people think and if necessary not invite them over. But the butt hurt by some people is crazy. We don't have one in our house, because WE don't like the way they look in our living room. I've got a couch and a leather club chair that are easily as comfortable as any recliner I've ever sat in. When someone asks about your opinion, then it obviously matters to some extent.

Serious question. How old are you? Over 60 I say go for it. You've earned the right and put it anywhere you please. Under 60 keep it in the back room and out of sight. This way you always have deniability to maintain OT baller status.
