Are Prometric testing centers the most miserable places on earth?

If not then they have to be in the top 10. How can anyone work there?

Consider the people that work there get paid to just sit around, check people in, and watch others take tests to make sure no one is cheating. I can’t see how it has any possibility of being the most riveting or rewarding job

Yes.

I try to avoid them as much as possible but sometimes you just have to.

Since I've moved back to Lafayette, I usually go to the UL campus or the Public Library if I need a test proctor.

I have been to so many of these places. Some of these assholes take pity on how stressed everyone is when they are there and make their days more miserable.

It’s where you take tests. I’ve been there for GMAT (get into grad school), Comptia a+ (entry level computer certification), once for National teacher certification, and twice for praxis.(teaching certification).

I had to go in them for the mcat, shelf exams in medical school, usmle exams, and the ABFM exam. I am really questioning my decision to take the GRE so I could get an mba.

I always figured everyone was taking Step 1 every time I go in there. Step 1 was the worst. Now it's just P/F
