It always starts like that. If you enjoy it and have some cash that's when shite gets out of hand...quickly.

The guys are right. A larger tank will be easier as the fluctuations in parameters will be gradual.

already have a blue hippo and a yellow.
well if you wanted the purple you should take the yellow out and put in a separate tank for a few weeks, then put the purple and yellow in the tank together. Thats what i did with my purple and yellow. minus the blue hippo, you should only ad tangs together.

I have cash but it's for my office. I spend as little time as possible in it.

I worked 80 hour weeks long enough now i just fly and drink for business that's why I don't want fish to feed because I'm not there often enough

The rock was dead, so yes it needs to be re cured.

I did the acid bath to remove any surface contaminants and then rinsed everything with a pressure washer. The rock has been soaking in RODI water to let any phospates that were in the tap water leach out. Then they will soak in saltwater for several weeks and I will add a couple live rocks to seed everything.

By the time I am ready to set everything up, they should be well on their way to being live rock again

What happened to your Innovative Marine tank?

Had to sell it when I moved to Seattle

All of the pics I had of it are on my old laptop, that has a broken power input so I have no way of retrieving them unless I pay to have the laptop fixed

NICE! I am hoping to toss one in here. Would like to put a RBTA in first then add a true perc. It's a 14 gal nano on the corner of my desk. I started it in December. So far, I have a YW Goby/ pistol pair and two TINY frags that broke off my home tank. 1 single zoa and a two head kryptonite candy coral.

I'm thinking about buying Reef Cleaners rock. Have heard good things and it doesn't need to be cured

I can get 50 pounds of it for $95 shipped

Nice

I almost got a Biocube 14 when I bought my tank in 2014 but got the Nuvo 16 instead

I too had a Yellow Watchman paired with a pistol shrimp. I named them Liza & Tate. Funny how the smallest tapping of the glass would send them both darting into their burrow.

Clowns are super easy to keep alive and are commonly recommended to beginners in the SW hobby.
