Appreciation Thread: Keep Tigertown Beautiful picking up trash all over the city

I'm not sure who this group is, but I've seen these fluorescent-t-shirt-clad garbage fighters picking up trash along major surface streets over the last couple months and I think they deserve plenty of attention. They're doing what our local government either refuses, is unwilling, or is completely incapable of doing. A while back I remember seeing a gigantic pile of garbage on Bluebonnet that looked like someone just dumped off the back of their truck. Within a day or two, this group had it all bagged up and ready for removal.
Hopefully some of you know who this group is and post it here. These people deserve an incredible amount of credit for volunteering their time and effort (I assume they're volunteers) to fighting the biggest eyesores of this dysfunctional city.

That’s a group I actually put together for the city. Hopefully it works out and we can make a difference!

Lately they has been finding counterfeit money.
Hats off to them.
They are doing the city-parish's job that we pay taxes for.

There are actually two groups. The other is called Clean Pelican, which targets different areas of the city on different weekends.
They may have originally been part of Keep Tigertown Beautiful, but split off.
They recently came to talk at one of our neighborhood meetings.

It's a good group, picking up 1000's of lbs f trash across this city. If you are on FB, join the group and volunteer. Usually Saturdays 8-10 AM.

There should be a $10,000 fine for littering. That or cut your littering hand off. There is no excuse.
