Like any computer its usually user error or configuration. I was ready to set fire to a macbook that did what you're describing and then I discovered an external backup software that was the problem. Runs like a champ now no issues.

I still have my late 2008 aluminum body MacBook. Runs just fine since I upgraded my RAM a year ago

Personal preference.

I just don't jizz on my phone. Its really not that difficult to do.

It froze and then shut down on its own. Does it at least once per day.
Pssttt, ever thought of taking it to the Apple Store to diagnose the problem?

Or is the idea of suffering through that every day and complaining about it more appealing?

My home MacBook kicks the shite out of my business HP. I almost never have issues with my Mac.

My company orders a lot of the Macs....I knew they had the occasional hardware problem.

They are not alone. Both of our Lenovo PC's had to get mother boards and hard drives replaced under warranty when they were brand new. Both made around the same time and I suppose had the same batch of defective parts.

They always work well for my paintings

This fricking pos MacBook crashes at least once per day and after its finished with its usual daily crash, it takes hours to reconnect to the Internet.

I can promise you it is not the Macbook.
