the commenting parties are almost completely ignoring the fact that this video was modeled after rap videos...except for Trey Cumlin
they're also really mad that deandre jordan is wearing a dress.
the comments also link to this allegedly racist ad for H&R Block

Although the beat is kickin this kind of fooliness is just that fooliness and clowns like the performer in the commercial is a joke to agree to this. As a highly educated woman of color this type of advertisement should not have even made it to the drawing board and the marketing team who but this foolishness together should all be fired. Secondly the director of the commercial should have quit as well. And finally the Director of Marketing for State Farm should be fired as well. If all these so called smart people didn't realize how tasteless and offensive a commercial like this would be then how did they get hired in the first place?

This commercial is a disgrace. They are not marketing to Black People, they are using this their useless commercial to make fun of Black People. To show us in the worst possible light that they can. I do not have Statefarm Insurance and after viewing this disgusting piece of trash commercial, I will NEVER have Statefarm Insurance. When they sing the jingle and the agents appear, that is funny. When the Coneheads are singing the jingle, that is funny. This is not funny at all, it is pure and simple Racism. Why did they show the supposed "toddler" sitting in a dirty high chair, in a dirty kitchen? Why did they show the older gentleman sleeping with a paper instead of doing something meaninful? Why didn't they have a Black Woman instead of a Man dressed up as a Woman? Everyone should drop Statefarm if you have them and move to another insurance agency....Liberty Mutual, or Geico. #BlackLivesMatter and this is a subtle way of say that We Don't!

Unfortunately, its mirroring our culture. Im not really mad at state farm for trying to appeal to a consumer base by relating to them. This is characteristic of many black rap videos.
they're also really mad that deandre jordan is wearing a dress.

I want to know why D'andre Jordan would put on that wig & dress?! I can't understand why a black man would put on a dress & wig and think it's humorous.

Why would any man who makes million$$$$ already, put on a dress and a wig for a TV commericial . Why couldn't they use Michael Sams? Or Bruce Jenner Ijs. Amurkkka's agenda is to destroy the Black race with gender switiching. First Bo Jackson then Larry Johnson now D'andre Jordan. All had to wear a dress for TV. Bo played 2 pro sports, Larry Johnson was 1 of the first 100 million $ contracts in the NBA along with Kevin Garnet. So it couldn't have been the money. These Black men were all asked to play these gender switiching roles. Why not ask Greg Luganus, Bruce Jenner or a host of other White athelets, because we see some of them really want to be a woman or just gay? 1 man even won 2015 Woman of The Year. RIP Flip Wilson

I'm sure those under the age of 20 have no idea what dropping a dime means either.

yeah and each role corresponds with the player
grandpa = KG b/c he's old af
dad = cp3 b/c he's mature and exiting his prime (both on the court and representing SF)
baby = damian lillard b/c he's the youngest (and is the next face of SF, replacing cp3)
mom = deandre, b/c he's the biggest/strongest and most masculine player in the ads

As a proud African American, I can honestly say that this commercial has me very interested in saving money and properly insuring my assets.

I know what they mean. After watching the Colonel Sanders commercials make white people look stupid, I won't be buying Kentucky Fried anymore. There's room for butt hurt on both sides.

Where in Africa were you born, and when did you become a naturalized citizen?

in the FB feed deandre was the big polarizing figure, too
i bowed out after explaining dimes had nothing to do with drugs and everything to do with bball and then said the commercial wasn't intended for the demos of the people posting about it

Those people are idiots, that commercial was hilarious, bc it poked fun at rap culture, famous NBA players, and car insurance. An insurance commercial that can make me laugh is a good one

That commercial was horrid, watched about 20 seconds. I don't think they have anything to worry about. The commercial will never air on any major networks, BET maybe
