Yeah…. My fil never stepped in a Catholic Church again after that…
And for more… the reason he (this bad priest) was assigned to the older priest ( my fil friend) is because he got into “trouble” as the youth minister to a different church school in Nola ( not the one mentioned in the story) and the older priest was to help him through his troubles …
When the older priest reported him to the arch?(whatever)… the arch said he was old and senile.. ( was in his 60 …???). And demoted him and sent him to small country church and pushed retirement… the older priest stayed friends with my fil…but he was a broken man and died not much later in a saddened state….
So Nola arc(guy) always new this priest was a bad apple and covered it up while destroying a very very good different priest in the process ..
Guess the bad priest had pictures of the Nola arch(?)
And the church wonders way people are disappointed…
