He was GM after Vic Schwenk and before Hank Stram, '72 - '76. He hired John North as coach after JD Roberts got the boot.

I can't remember if it was a player or a sports writer who made a crack about the Saints in 1972, saying something like "The Saints have a Marine as a coach, an astronaut as GM and a child as owner. What do you expect from them?"

RIP

These men were America heroes.

I once stood on those stairs in photo #3. It was awe inspiring to think about the great people who has been on that spot.

The episode of From The Earth to the Moon that deals with Apollo 12 is the best of the series.

These guys were like best buddies.
