Colorado looked like that Monday. Then it snowed Tuesday. Went from 100 to snow in 36 hours

And even a timber lobbyist acknowledges that it's not just mismanagement:
He says it wouldn't have completely eliminated the problem. No shite. There are rarely 100% solutions to any problem. But it would've greatly reduced the problem and made it easier to control and allowed us to focus limited resources on fewer wildfires.

I added up the years that the governor's office was controlled by each party since WWII:
Are you really arguing that California isn't the most progressive state in the union? Republican governor or not, I don't think that's a hill I would try to die on.

People that do not get this have more than likely not lived around a wildfire prone area. They have never had their air quality reduced due to a wildfire hundreds of miles away.I am 38 and California's mismanagement was a topic when I was a kid. The state just has not done what it needs to do to prevent as many of these fires as they can.

This is a map of lightning strikes in Norcal on one day last year. You have to do controlled burns to get rid of the fuel for those fires.

So I shouldn’t feel bad about the natural disaster going on in Cali because of that?
