525 Lafayette

Since this one has a lot of corporate leases, it is quieter on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays when they fly back. Also has garage parking.

There’s a small apartment complex on Perkins I used to live in. Older 2 bedroom apartment for 950 I think. Called Southdowns

You can literally walk across the street to the bulldog and Earls.

Again not the most up to date place, but I used to love that place

It gets shite on around here, but I actually enjoyed living there in college for a year. Apartment was in good condition, could walk/bike to class, and only $515 a month.

All Those apartments downtown are nice but they are super small. You're paying for living in downtown BR keep that in mind.

You can find something for the same price and twice the space if you go to mid-city, corporate, or Perkins.

IMO it's nice to be able to walk to the grocery, pharmacy, etc.

It's cheap for a single OT'er.

I can see how it would be steep for a plebeian though.

There's apartments at Capital Heights and St Tammany that would work for you

Anything north of Florida Blvd should be economical and give you that cultural flare you’re missing out on.

$1100 is expensive for an apartment now? Seems like I paid around 1k 15 years ago. Granted, it's been a long time since I rented.

Y’all are really missing the point

BR sucks. Don’t pay extra money to live in DT BR

Honestly, if I became single, I’d go back to the garden district into a house. I lived on the parade route in a very cute house and loved it. It’s a blast to throw a party every year for the parade, and then the rest of the year you have the perk of being basically walking distance to the overpass and being in your own private home.

I had a fenced in yard, wrap around deck, and 2 bedrooms for $850.

It’s still easily on the high end for apartments in BR if we’re talking 1 bedroom rentals.

You have a bunch of roommmates if you are paying $600 and being anywhere close to Uptown.

$1150 is a lot for a 1 bedroom in BR but let’s not act like Dallas is a steal in the apartment game. Uptown 1 bedroom is likely ~$1600 or so.

Yeah their gym is legit

Regent was also great for picking up skanky chicks at their pool.

I'd also recommend Bristol Place on Siegen. Lots of hairdressers and makeup artists live there
