There's a sloth up for adoption in Gentilly. LINK

that would actually be kind of cool...I guess...
I don't know a damn thing about a sloth.

$100 seems like a steal for a healthy three toe like that

yeah, sounds cheap as hell to me, too....I'd bet someone is in a bind to get rid of the thing and that makes me a little suspicious.

I looked some into what it would take to keep one. It would be difficult. A lot of people think that it sounds cool to keep an exotic animal as a pet, but it's usually recklessly irresponsible and unfair to the animal itself.
This is coming from a person who actually currently keeps an exotic animal. I did a lot of research before taking the leap.

yep, knew a dude who bought a sugar glider, because his GF thought they were so neat.
thing sat in its cage, all the time. it would of been better just killing itself. they had nothing for it to climb, etc.

Exotic animals aren't worth it. No one thinks you're cool bc you have a damn speckle-bellied romanian chubacabra in a cage in your living room. Get a dog weirdo

Aunt & uncle had a monkey when I was growing up. He was in the merchant marines and he brought it back from overseas. Uncle named it "Teddy" after one of my aunt's brothers.
Teddy was awesome except he would sit on top the fridge and jerk off sometimes. Can't say as I blame him.

Audubon Zoo reported one stolen on Monday. Might want to call the cops.

I just did some brief reading on the sugar gliders. Their nutritional needs seem fairly complicated, and they are social animals which adds an extra layer of complexity in proper and humane care. Yeah, just buying one on a whim seems pretty fricked.

Yeah I didn't think sloths were legal to own, especially in Louisiana

I wonder if it's legal to keep them as pets. They should probably try to donate to a zoo.

Pugs aren't animals?
