I threw a roast and some chicken breast in the freezer just in case shite gets haywire for a couple of weeks. If the fed gov starts recommending everyone to stay home that's when the stores are going to get wiped out. I had to run in to wal mart this morning for some cleaning solution and swung by the food. There were some non-perishable shelves that were hit pretty hard but one of the workers said they were prepared to restock all of them.
Our pantry has enough pasta, rice, and beans to last us through 2020

My maw maw grew up a poor country girl and she kept a cabinet full of extra canned goods and 2 extra deep freezers full of food on their back porch.
They could have lived off of the extras for 6 months

I've been stocking up for weeks since I first heard what was going on in China. Hopefully I'll just have a whole lot of extra soup for awhile.
