The phone number doesn't match what is on Google:

St. Tammany Clerk of Court
Phone number (985) 809-8700

Not saying that's the correct number, but the Clerk of Court and Jury Management aren't the same thing.

The number on the form is probably the direct number to the Jury Department, as it says. The number you listed is likely to the person that asks how they can direct your call.

All they are asking for that they don't already have is a phone number and email address. That's not really valuable information for running a scam. They obviously already have his name and address. It's probably legit.

That was the first thing I did. The phone number is no where on the website.

Whether legit or not, its going in the trash. They have my address if they need to select me for the jury pool

I got a very similar notice earlier this year. It had a link to a LA.gov site to fill it out online instead so I chose that option.

They emailed me a month or so later telling me to expect a jury summons soon in the mail. Delta hit soon after but I got the summons like 3 months later.

It’s real. Now do your civic duty and fill out and return the form.

You could also trash it since it was sent regular mail. But if you do that, don’t ever bitch about jury verdicts.

It isn't a summons.

They have my address. That is all they need to give me a summons.

I received something similar to this once. It asked all sorts of questions about my opinion on capital punishment. I assume it was in preparation for a capital murder trial in my county. My BiL was killed by a piece of shite during a home invasion and got away with pleading down to manslaughter (still serving 20 years at Angola, but should’ve got murder 2), but I let them know how I felt about it in the questionnaire. There was no follow up ha.

I just received a jury summons for Ascension parish via snail mail.

I have been called for jury duty a couple of times also all by regular mail.

Why would there be follow up? The questionnaire did its job

I’d fill it out. You might end up on Captain Suarez’s jury.
