Anyone on here know where to rent a Pecan Island house for 3-4 days mid November?

Air BnB has a house that's $315 a night. I'm trying to find a less expensive way to fish with my brother and dad. I like that area. I go to Bayou Dularge a lot but want to try out here.

I am surprised you were able to find anything available for that time frame. Duck season opens up the middle of November, good luck finding anything available for a reasonable rate this close to the opener.

Ask them for their best price. A lot of people are lazy and put the same price for the whole year basically even if they are not busy at all. You never know until you ask is what I’m saying. Don’t know that area at all, if they are busy due to fishing right now that’s a different thing all together.

If you don't mind a little ride to and from, you may have better luck finding somewhere to stay in Kaplan.

Call pecan island food store and ask them. I’ve seen flyers tape on their door for a camp rental before

My butler’s house has a mother in law suite he may let you rent.

Have you fished out there? It’s not very good. Your best bet is to find a structure with flap gates, if the gates are open there’s usually red fish waiting for what’s coming out. Other than that it’s a pretty sporadic bite. There’s some good cast netting this time of year, but mid November that’ll be over, probably already is. Plus, when big duck opens you won’t want to be anywhere near that place if you’re trying to fish.
