Anyone notice a difference in their health from eating vitamin K2 rich foods?

The secret to avoiding calcium-related osteoporosis and atherosclerosis
While millions of people take calcium and Vitamin D supplements thinking they're helping their bones, the truth is, without the addition of Vitamin K2, such a health regimen could prove dangerous. Without Vitamin K2, the body cannot direct calcium to the bones where it's needed; instead, the calcium resides in soft tissue (like the arteries)--leading to a combination of osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, or the dreaded "calcium paradox."

Never heard of it. Id say it'd be worth doing some research into what K2 is and what it does before buying a book like this.
Start on wiki and go to pubmed or something.

I don't plan on buying the book however I did watch a few youtube videos (lol) of nutritionists and doctors touting the benefits of K2 and how it works. In short, in order to for you body to properly absorb calcium you not only need vitamin D but also K2. Most people are K2 deficient in their diets.
But I can't tell if people are feeling more healthy because they are eating vitamin K2 rich foods (like Kifer, grass fed beef and butter) or are they simplely feeling more healthy because they are eating right. Prolly a combo of both.

I thought K2 was banned because people were smoking it and eating people's faces off.

IDK what K2 you're talking about.

Nope. I have to avoid vitamin K. Can't eat "green leafy" vegetables like spinach, collard or turnip greens, Brussel sprouts, or broccoli because they're high in vitamin K.

Vitamin "K" generally refers to K1. That's the vitiman needed to work with calcium and hemoglobin for boold clotting. I'm talking about K2. K2 is a variant however does the job of moving calcium to your bones and teeth (where it needs to be) instead of depositing on the walls of your arteries and veins.

K2 is important and under-appreciated...
BALANCE of the fat soluble vitamins is paramount
Below is a write up from one of the leading PhD researchers on the topic, Chris Masterjohn

Chris Kresser has also written on this extensively and has a podcast about it

Did you have AVR or another heart related issue?

That is too bad. Food like Broccoli has the good kind of calcium in it too.
You often need vitamins in combos with other certain vitamins to get the most out of them. Magnesium is another heavily underused key vitamin if not mistaken.

Fwiw, a neuro doc I saw suggested k2, taken along with d3, for disc issues. It isn't a cure, but made a noticeable difference for me after a while.
