He was in my ECON class last semester....seemed like an alright guy but I guess the politicians kid takes after the politician for putting on a good face. He mentioned his kid a few times too when talking to him

Yea wasn't a brag like I'm some well known person. But alot of posters make an effort to not be known IRL. I do not.

No. Likely had a holding cell, ate a meal or two and released.
It's resolved meaning it'll likely be dropped and handled privately. I still stand by posting it b/c it's a prominent public figure's family and was public record.

More likely resolved means the family will get it covered up. This is the guy that got drunk and ran over two tourists in the Feench Quarter and they got that fixed. Beating his own kid is small potatoes compared to that.

Nobody had any more details on how bad the beating was. But it's a misdemeanor and ends up being a well-documented warning in case abuse happens again.
Have personal experience with this in a nearby parish with a step parent.
