Prime, you will have no trouble finding what you need at your local, district clerk of court.
Whether on a computer or old school style in a book, those ladies (and a dude on occasion) at the clerk's office are helpful as frick.
If you've never searched the public record, you might want to set aside some time to be nosy. After the 5 minutes you need to find the previous owner, you might spend hours looking at all kinds of shite.
Wanna see your neighbor's mortgage? Info on your buddy's arrest? The filings involved with your coworker's divorce?
All there...just waiting on you to dig in.

On a decent assessor or clerk of courts website you can find it. In a small town, might have to make a trip. I search rhis stuff, all day.

I'm in there all the time so they let me use the copy machine when I need to. I'm in the back room making my copies and glance over to see stacks and stacks of juvenile court records,sitting there for anybody to peruse. I didn't, but I (or anyone else) could have.

Harrison County goes back to 2010 and you can get deeds off another one of their sites.
But Hancock just has an ASP site that shows a map and current information.
OP needs to let us know what county or parish.

chains of title are a pain in the arse, especially when property split and you have to follow multiple chains
