I was the 4-H secretary at my school. Head, heart, hands, health.

Hell yeah. I raised pigs, chickens, cattle, ducks, and rabbits for 4-H. Also was state champ twice at short course, which they still have but is now called 4-H University.

I raised pigs to show in the 4-H to show in the parish fair...one time I raised the grand champion market hog. Also went to 4-H camp during the summers at Camp Grant Walker.

I remember 4-H camp being awesome.

Camp Grant Walker was a long hot ride in a school bus from Kenner.

I had a little mouse named Liberace that won the 4-H Talent contest two years in row playing his toy piano.

Reminds me of Roy D. Mercer's tic-tac-toe-playing rooster named Little Bobby Fischer

That's FFA, dumbass.

Pretty sure the state FFA (or maybe it's the state 4-H) president is a black kid, so it can't be that racist.

Yep. Showed cattle and pigs as a youth all through high school. Now both my kids show.

Camp Grant Walker boxing champ 91’ (unofficial) and first time I got my fingers wet and learned St Bernard chicks have accents that are kinda sexy.
