Just blasted them on a survey they sent to my inbox.
So I booked a flight from MSY to DTW for a friend's wedding. Spirit offers direct flights super cheap. This round trip is $280.
First you pay $25 for a carryon each way, or a checked bag $50 each way. Not too shocking.
Then to pick your seat is at least $10-$50 each way, depending where you pick. It's free to be put in a random (middle seat near lavatory) seat.
No free drinks during the flight, $5 for a bottle of water, $8 for a can of beer.
During the flight, a flight attendant pitched a credit card commercial while the others walked up and down the aisle handing out applications. It was so fricking cheesy, as they were practically begging you to fill one out for like 30 minutes. They must get a bonus for each.
On the way home, I witnessed a woman get told that to pay for her carryon at the gate was $100 because she didn't do it online ahead of time. This woman was like 85 years old. Online really champ? Her?? So I watched her take our her credit card and get ripped for a $100.
fricking clownshow bro.

Not quite that bad, but Frontier Airline is a lot like that.

Don't forget, they charge you to print out your ticket at the kiosk.
You get what you pay for.

It's better to pay extra to fly Jet Blue/Southwest/American/Delta/United/US Airways/Southwest than Spirit and Frontier.

I flew with them from MSY to IAH and had a good experience
actually you get to bring on one item about the size of a bookbag for free
if you're flying by yourself it isn't bad at all. I paid $25 each way for the exit row seats.
she didn't get ripped. You know what the charges are ahead of time. Age is no excuse for inability of follow directions.

True, but those deer and bears and shite on the tail wing are so damn pretty.

Thinking about flying Jet Blue soon to see what the craze is all about.

They are an a la carte airline. Instead of charging $500 for a round trip ticket, they let you choose what amenities you want to pay for.

Bitch worry less about flying and more about my cupcakes.

I had an enjoyable flight recently from DFW to the Pacific Northwest ...
on Alaska Airlines. Best flight/service I have ever had.

actually, frontier isn't anything like that.
most airlines will nickel and dime you nowadays, but spirit is especially shitty and prides itself on god awful customer service and complete disregard for its customers,
