Anyone here ever go back to LSU after failing out?

Long story short, I flunked out of LSU 8 years ago because I was one of those lazy SOB’s that hardly went to class. I think the phrase they used was “scholastically dropped, eligible to re-apply after one semester out” or something along those lines. Since then I’ve received a technical degree from one of the local community colleges and gotten a job working maintenance at a local refinery. I make roughly 100k a year with OT and bonus and excellent benefits on top of that.
The problem is I absolutely loathe what I do. Despite the excellent pay and benefits, I dread going to work every day and I feel like a part of me dies every time I walk through that gate.
So, anyone here ever go back to LSU later in life, maybe after getting married and starting a family?Any advice? I’m not really sure where to even begin, other than calling the admissions office to see where to begin or if it’s even possible to do at this point.

Is 100k considered excellent pay in louisiana?

I knew a guy who went to LSU for a few years wothout graduating, worked for almost a decade, then returned to LSU after declaring academic bankruptcy. Not sure if he ever graduated.

Was he fully re-admitted? I figure I’ll likely declare academic bankruptcy as well. I went for 3 years but changed my major so many times I never got close to graduating in anything.

I believe he was readmitted on academic probation status the first year. This was a long time ago so it's possible LSU has changed things since then.

Just asking the question. No need to pile on. For instance you can’t live off 60k in dc. College grads with little to no experience start there.

I know two people who failed out then went back. One finished with a Civil Engineering degree, the other finished in General Studies, then law school with honors. Both were lazy, had trouble making it to class.

I did. This is my story:
I was listening to the radio
I heard a song reminded me of long ago
Back then I thought that things were never gonna change
It used to be that I never had to feel the pain
I know that things will never be the same now
I want to go back
And do it all over again
But I can't go back I know
I want to go back
Cause I'm feeling so much older
But I can't go back I know
Hoped this helped.

I barely graduated in 2010. Think I averaged a 2.2 GPA my last 4 semesters, C's galore with a couple D's and an F or two.
Returned in 2017, and averaged a 3.9 GPA the past 3 semesters. Applying to PA school now.
Never settle. If you're unhappy, work your arse off and fufill your life goals. Its never too late.

You have to be pretty worthless to flunk out of LSU
