Apparently my DNA is untraceable and they don’t know where I came from
My ex-husband is extremely German looking (when he was stationed there anytime he was in plain clothes on the street people spoke German to him and had no idea he was American). His last name is super rare here and when you look on the family tree websites on ancestry.com and such the result is that the name is German but there is no information about this family.
He did 23 and me or one of those and it returned back that he was Irish. Ummmm no way.
Also every person in their family (including my 3 kids and my grandson) look remarkably the same(like photographs of people are identified by period clothing they look so alike). The genetics with no German history are strong in that family.

I'm eating Chinese for lunch. My fortune cookie says "A distant relative will call you soon."

My brother did one, and we found out beside the basic Irish, British, Native American that we were 3% Syrian. Back in the 1800's many Syrians came to the MS Delta. None of my family is from that area, but I guess one of my esteemed ancestors either married one or had a one night stand with one somewhere down the line.

I think I have a good one.
Found biological mother. She was dead, but found half brother and half sister. Since they were older, they and my maternal aunts knew of my existence (since mother’s give birth) and always wondered about me so it wasn’t a shock and they did a kit to confirm.
Did a different kit because it was a gift. Long story short, that database had my biological father in it. He had no clue of my existence. He was young when it happened. Very different situation.
So could a biological kid show up one day based on these tests. Absolutely.
I told this story to a transplant doctor. He said it’s not surprising to him since they find about 3-5% of kids that go to transplant and have their siblings matched to be a donor and find out different biological fathers.
Mother’s always know when they have a child. Father’s, not necessarily

Small town southern VA. Town Dr. had 6 girls. Doc's secretary had a son. You know the rest. Awkward to say the least, as they all knew each other growing up. Some of the family were more accepting than others.

Well if your dad did one and he’s your true biological dad, 50% of you is in now anyway and your dad would pop up as someone’s grandfather or uncle, so you would probably get a call from him regardless

About three years ago I found out I fathered a son at age 15. I don't trust the govt so I won't do DNA.

I was a foster kid growing up. COnnected, w/ my birth Mom and her side of the family (had me at 15 years old in the early 70's). Been a great thing for us.

Have a younger brother and sister that I've connected w/.
