Anyone have a friend whose wife is a huge b****?

I’m guessing it’s pretty common. Friend of mine has been married for about 5 years (I’ve known them for 2) and his wife is just the worst.
Always telling him what he can and can’t do, making snarky comments in front of his friends. Just a shrew in general. And she’s not even remotely attractive. Everytime I’m at their house she’s bitching about something or talking shite about someone.
I’ve told him he needs to stand up to her but he’s a nice guy and just takes it.
Now that I typed it out, I think my buddy needs to get his balls back.

Yep... my buddies wife is one of the most negative people, I have ever met. She seems to have little respect for him. She will yell at him in front of anyone: I feed bad for him, cause he is a real solid dude.

They didn’t even come to the wedding? That’s fricked up. I’m cordial with his wife and she has moments when she is decent- maybe it’s not as extreme as I thought

I understand now being married it was a lot of pressure and tension caused by me. They want to keep them home. Their friends going out, living the high life and traveling.
In your 20s without kids, it’s alluring. I lived that life for 10 years. Settled down in my 30s.
I wasn’t an idiot to try and do it in my 20s. It’d have never worked.
