WHile he is also part of the problem, I believe it was the Sheriffs office that sprung him from jail.

Is there a way to access campus and not see this area? There are areas immediately surrounding LSU that are shitholes, but if you go into campus either though highland or Stanford, never leave campus, and exit the way you came in you’d think LSU is surrounded by mansions.

If you come in off 45 it is just a run-of-the-mill hood. If you come in from 288 or OST thru the 3rd ward it is still very hood. Getting to campus isn't the issue, it is parking your car and walking back late at night.

in a decade or two the third ward won't exist as it does today. It is too close to the Medcenter and downtown to stay a shithole forever. There has been a ton of development in the past 20 years. That said, short of razing blocks and blocks of shitty apartments there will always be crime there. East of campus gets more industrial and likely won't ever really get gentrified.

Phi Slamma Jamma was the last time I’ll ever note anything UH-wise in my life.

I meant is it surrounded on all sides by hood or could someone be lulled into believing they are in a great area because they entered campus through a route that has nothing but awesome neighborhoods on the way

yeah around riverside terrace south of campus which was the old jewish neighborhood has some really nice mid 1900 houses.

Here is the zip code listings. LINK

500k houses would go for well over a million in my part of town, I don't live in the hood but i also don't live in Tanglewood or river oaks

about what everyone expected happened is what happened.

DA's office admits mistakes while UH police stay quiet on handling of campus rape suspect

quote:

On Friday, (D)District Attorney Sean Teare sat down for a one-on-one interview and said his intake division made some mistakes in handling the case. "What we had happen is a set of failures all the way from law enforcement agencies to us. Failures we had inside, in our processes and training, are being looked at, and we're going to fix them," Teare said.

Teare said Friday night, UH police officers happened upon Brown on campus and used a Taser on him. Brown was reportedly combative and elbowed one of the officers trying to arrest him. In the initial call to Harris County District Attorney's intake division, Teare says the UH officers focused on the assaulting a peace officer charge and only mentioned the sexual assault as an aside. He says officers did not specifically ask for a sexual assault charge. However, Teare says his staff should still have flagged the case. "We should have had a more experienced prosecutor highlighted to look at the case. There were a lot of things internally that we're going to look through and fix, but the bottom line is he was released," Teare said.

UH police was more worried he elbowed one of them.
Democrat DA Office “accidentally”….let it slip through their fingers.

shucks, our bad guys. we’ll do better. promise”. and everyone including the media wipes their hands of it. and an innocent girl’s life is ruined. no biggie.

Sean Teare was the non-Soros DA during the spring election

This is incorrect.

Now I am totally lost. Who is what?
