Anyone Ever Learned The Truth About Someone That Changed The Way You Thought Of Them?

A friend of mine was telling me about how his grandmother has been sick and how his mom was taking care of her, but it started to become too much on his mom so they are putting her in a home. His mom has several siblings and she was the only one who would go take care of her. He said he didn't really think anything of it, but now that they are putting her in a home, his mom told him and his siblings a bunch of shite about her, that they had no idea about.
Evidently she was hateful and none of her siblings had nothing to do with her before they all died. She was mean to her kids.. Mean as in, she did some hateful shite to them and he didn't know that his aunts couldn't stand her. They would all get together for holidays, but the ones who hated the mother only did it to be with their siblings. His mom told him she didn't tell them any of it because they didn't want them to hate their grandmother..

Serious question, how old are you? When I read your posts I picture a 7 to 10 year old. I think it's your run on sentences and the stream of consciousness with which you tell stories.

Yes, my father. We sold him an almost new car that we had inherited for a significantly reduced price because he needed a new car. He kept it ten months and then sold it for a pretty good profit. I've never gotten over it. You can't pick your family.

I know a guy, raised by his Dad,an only living child, very close all through HS just the two of them, whose Dad effectively disinherited him and never met his three kids because the woman his Dad married later has severe borderline personality disorder and wanted her kids to have all the grandfather glory. Cowardice in the first degree. The son loves his Dad, tells his kids nice things about his Dad, and they've never met him even though he's five minutes away. Let sleeping dogs lie. He says he won't even attend the funeral.The son swears he and his Dad never even ever raised their voices at each other-the Dad just had no further interest in any blood relatives.
