Did a lot of prep work today. Tired as hell. Wife and baby sleeping. Opened the front door to check out the neighborhood...very quiet besides the crickets. A bit darker than usual, No cars driving by..nothing. Just some alone time to collect my thoughts and remember to respect Mother Nature. But let's show her how resilient Louisianians are tomorrow.

Same here. Ending the night with a nip of the rye. Tomorrow is gonna suck.

I’d rather D-Day were here.

Just get it over with.

I do enjoy me some “Southern Nights”.

The only thing that tops the feeling before a hurricane is the feeling of the calm inside of the eye of a hurricane.

I will never forget going outside for a few minutes and seeing blue sky above the house with a large circular wall of clouds around us. That was insane

Was at the beach in Florida before Michael hit. Standing at the ocean with nobody around and the waves picking up was surreal.
We went west the next day.

Was so weird having everyone in Baton Rouge act like the storm was hitting today. It’s arriving Sunday night, today was beautiful, not a drop of rain all day.

I went outside and the neighborhood nuts were riding around on their light up bikes

It will be a long night for you. My best wishes to you and others in the way of the storm.

Dude, you should start looting your neighborhood since it’s so quiet and darker than usual. Seriously though, hope your family and your property make it through with minimal damage.

It was weird. But pretty nice until the bugs started to roll in.

I'm enjoying something other than that other thing dominating OT talk.

Got everything done that I could, tired and sore as well. On the couch watching Ted Lasso with an big ole Woodford and some chocolate...enjoying the AC before the power goes out.
