Sure it was, along with ones that lay off sick, lay off family sick, lay off personal, take personal leave days (2 different things), and take FMLA days!


Been with my company 7 years and get 3 weeks vacation this year!

Railroads do seem to hate their employees. At least the 2 that I have worked for. They can keep on hating for 3 more years then I'm out.

I lay off sickness and family all the time. We get 5 weekdays and 2 weekend days a month and I take every single one

What's your guarantee and does it hurt it?

On our extra board after 2 separate lay offs you loose your guarantee and only make what you make for the half. Engineers is 4800 a half with a bonus day.. i think 4600 without bonus day.

Each day you lose 1/15th of your guarantee for the half. Even with laying off as much as I do I still best the guarantee for the conductors extra board. I think it's like 3800 a half I dont know the exact number of the top of my head lol. I'm on the forner Burlington Northern side. On the Santa Fe side they get like an extra 1000 a half for the extra board.
