Got a turkey breast and a ham in the smoker. Brined the turkey overnight. Should be nice and juicy.

Anyone ever smoke a fresh ham? I would recommend it. Also, when I smoke Turkey. I inject the shite out of it with creole butter and use peach and pecan chunks in the lump. Low and slow at 225 until done. Good eating.

I smoked as 7lb. wild pig ham yesterday, 11 hrs. in the smoke house. Sipped on some whiskey and puffed on cigars as some of the in-laws arrived from out of town (aggie fans). Got two brined birds for the big easy today along with more whiskey and cigars.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING YA'LL

Have not, but sounds good. Will be doing my first turkey today. Going to Blue Licks State park for lunch with family, then home to smoke my turkey for tonight. Good times!

We're still going to parents' houses for Thanksgiving but I think when it comes my turn, I'll probably choose the smoking method as well. Sounds good.

Got up at 4:45am....put a 5 bone rib roast on the smoker. Enjoyed a good cup of coffee and reflected on the year.

Yeah. I've cooked on it a couple times, just never a turkey. What grill temp am I shooting for? It's the Big Easy Smoker, Roaster, Grill, so it's a little different from the original.

Thanks!

Guys it will take around 2.5-3.0 hrs to fully cook a turkey in the Big Easy in case you didn't know,so if you wanna eat around noon better get it going and you will need a good thermometer to know when its ready, usually around 175-180 degrees. There are several nice you tubes to watch on how to do it.
